The smoke began to clear around the protective sphere that Ilias had maintained around them. This new found and seemingly endless supply of Energy was starting to become more useful than he could have imagined. The energy he would have normally needed to protect himself with from a direct assault like that would have taken more strength than he normally would have had.
Now nothing seemed impossible to him. Continue reading “Chapter 3!”
It has been a while since I have posted anything. And chapter 3 is long overdue I know. For that I have no excuse. With work lately and a few other life things have been getting in the way, but I have not been static with regards to moving forward. I actually bought two books I had been looking for that cover some things I want to put in the book. Already you know it has some basis in our myths and legends and these two books are going to be invaluable when it comes to information at my fingertips.
Also I’ve been working on the revisions and all the things I have been thinking of and or planning on reworking into the series. So far I think I’ve made a list of some of the things that will have changed in the first couple of chapters and how I want the story to play out. Now the question is whether I’m going to just start over(which is what I feel I should do) so that the narrative flows better, or whether I keep going from where I am at in Chapter 3 with the new and revised story in my head and giving you guys the cliff notes until I can work out the changed chapters.
So what do you say? Regardless I’m working on doing both, finishing Chapter 3 and re-doing 1 and 2 so that they fit the new stuff. Would you rather wait on chapter 3 until the others are out and done? Or just get the cliff notes for now to see what happens next?
So I found a file that had a kind of Preface…of sorts. Probably what I wanted for like the back book cover. I might do a better one to serve as an actual Preface or Prologue or whatever. But for now it’ll help set up the timeline and background a little bit.

Just know that I am not dead. I have been seriously keeping myself busy with things and not making the time to write like I should have. I’m sorry. But I’m picking up again where I left off and have been giving serious thought to the story I’m trying to tell. So far I’ve been stuck in chapter 3 because I’m just not feeling the way the story is going so far. That being said, don’t freak out cause I’m not going to trash everything you’ve put effort into reading. Part of the reason I feel less about this story is I’m trying to reduce the amount of cliches that are in most books. This starts with one seen in a lot of fiction and fantasy about a character who is given an insurmountable obstacle as a graduation exam and then passes, kind of. I feel like it gets used to show that the character is special and different. Which is not inherently bad. But is a tired means. What about something happening when no one is expecting it. Which again, is another thing that happens often. Routine XX goes awry when XX suddenly is realized. But there’s something to be said for plots. Right? They are there to get the story started. And for the most part they do the job even the ones that we see all the time. The question is…do we pay attention that much? or just accept that every story has been told and retold?
So far I’ve had some good feedback coming in on things to work on and I wanted to let you know what might change be changing in the chapters to come and will be edited from chapters I posted previously.

So there are some things I wanted to talk about as I continue to move along these chapters. Things I’m kind torn about that I wanted to get some second, third and forth opinions on…
